What is included in an event?
Every package includes the venue, a Tea J Tea tea expert to host and guide you, all featured teas and tastings, plus setup and cleanup. Each package page lists the tastings, pairings, and take-home items specific to that experience.
Who hosts the event?
Your event is led by a Tea J Tea tea expert. Tea J Tea was founded by John Milton and Thuy Tran, whose Vietnamese green tea won at the 2024 World Tea Expo, so every gathering is guided with real depth and care.
How far ahead should we book?
Most groups book 2 to 3 weeks in advance. For weekend dates, holidays, or larger groups we recommend reaching out as early as you can so we can hold your preferred date.
How large can our group be?
It depends on the experience. Private tea experiences host 4 to 25 guests, private Create and Sip events host 15 to 25, and corporate events start at a minimum of 8. Public Create and Sip sessions welcome any number of guests. Larger private groups can be accommodated with advance planning, so just ask.
Where are events held, and how do we find the suite?
Events are hosted at our partner venue, Young Tea, at 13433 NE 20th St, Suite J, Bellevue, WA 98005. Look for suite #J. For parking details and directions on the day, ask us when you inquire and we will point you the right way.
Is there a deposit, and when is it due?
After you send an inquiry, we confirm your date and final rate by email within 24 hours. For specific deposit amounts and timing, ask us when you inquire and we will walk you through it.
What is your cancellation or reschedule policy?
We understand plans change. Cancellation and reschedule windows depend on the event and date, so please ask us when you inquire and we will share the details in writing.
When do you need our final headcount?
Final headcount timing varies by package and date. Ask us when you inquire and we will confirm the deadline for your specific event.
Can you handle dietary needs and allergies?
Yes, please share any dietary needs or allergies in your inquiry and we will do our best to accommodate them. For specific allergen questions, ask us when you inquire so we can confirm what is possible for your group.
Can we serve alcohol at our event?
We offer an optional Champagne pairing to add a sparkling toast to your tea celebration for $15 to $20 per person. It is available for guests 21 and over.
